Inspired by an antique cello, I dreamed of this painting even before I started painting it. I had done a very detailed drawing of an antique cello and got the inspiration to create a universe where the cellos are dancing.

Inspired from the teal color complemented by vermillion, I created ribbons to engulf the scroll and the colors formed like a sky, “The Canopy” for the scroll.

I like putting real objects in a dreamy environment and limiting the palette to create harmony. I had made the drawing very complex, but simplified it once I picked up the brush to paint it.
