The Brush Art Gallery and Studios was the first organization in Lowell to provide studio space to artists. Modeled after the Torpedo Factory art complex in Alexandria, Virginia, the Brush offers artists the opportunity to demonstrate and sell their work to the public for up to six days a week. Housed in a beautiful, downtown restored silk mill with granite and brick walls, arched windows and the original oak ceiling beams, the Brush provides low-rent studios and a supportive environment to artists of all media.
